Welcome to Friesland Cottage, a stunning 17th Century cottage in the quaint and historic village of Shilton, near Burford. It is perfectly situated by Burford, the “Gateway to the Cotswolds”, the perfect spot for relaxing and exploring the Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottage has a tranquil setting, and you will be impressed with its spacious and airy rooms, tasteful interiors, beautiful flagstone flooring and contemporary colour palate. Contemporary but still full of traditional charm. The cottage boasts a large open-plan kitchen diner with ample space for sitting and chatting whilst preparing meals. Just west and two minutes' drive from Shilton is the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens as well as the Crocodiles of the World Zoo that offers visitors the chance to get up close and personal with over fifteen species of these exotic creatures. Don’t forget to visit the Burford Garden Centre, which is a spectacular place. You can buy anything from plant bulbs as a souvenir of your time away, right through to impressive art works or bespoke pottery and furniture. The café is fantastic. Again, spoilt for choice!
